Chambers of Commerce

Ireland's largest business network, 60 Chambers, 13,000 Members.

Its mission is to represent the business interests of the member companies, to promote the competitiveness of business in Ireland and to enable the development of the chamber network in Ireland. It has four main areas of activity:

Strengthening the Chamber Network
Chambers Ireland offers support, assistance and training to help local chambers grow and provide the best service possible to their member companies. It acts as guardian of the chamber brand in Ireland and operates the chamber quality accreditation process. It also negotiates commercial agreements and develops national public relations and marketing campaigns on behalf of the national network.

Representing Business Interests
Chambers Ireland is a lobbying organisation focused on making and keeping Ireland competitive and one of its key functions is to represent the views of Irish business to Government.

It commissions research and engages in information campaigns on issues of concern to its members.

Supporting SMEs
Chambers Ireland develops and packages services that can be delivered to SMEs all over the country via the chamber network. These include information and training programmes to support growth and competitiveness, documentation services such as Certificates of Origin and international trade opportunities. Using the buying power of its members, it also negotiates affinity deals with service providers to secure discounts for member businesses.

International Links
When a business joins its local chamber of commerce, it gains access to a global business network as well as a national organisation.
