Until now there has never been a venue in the Southern Capital capable of holding a major consumer event which is big enough to show the complete range of extension, renovation, home improvement and life style products which has made the Ideal Home Show such a success over the years.
Now the introduction of the 40,000 sq. feet ARC Event Centre on Centre Park Road (the site of the summer Marquee) means that major events can be held in Cork in a central location with plenty of parking and easy access.
The well established Dublin event attracts an audience of over 30,000 home owners who attend in search of the value and choice which up to 300 high quality exhibitors can offer. Almost 90% of visitors said their visit was worthwhile or very worthwhile, 83% made a purchase and over 89% indicated that they will attend the next event.
The New Cork Ideal Home Show will provide exhibitors with an opportunity to meet and do business with thousands of enthusiastic consumers interested in home extensions and renovations as well as finding new ideas to improve their homes and lifestyle.

September 2010 will see the arrival of a creative and innovative answer to Cork major event needs with the installation of one of the world’s most sophisticated temporary structures The Veldeman TFS . With 40,000 square feet this state of the art structure is larger than the main hall of the RDS and is capable of seating up to 5,000 for a concert or conference as well as being flexible enough to host the largest consumer and business exhibitions.
The Veldeman TFS will be erected on the site of Cork’s proposed permanent event centre at Cork Docklands. Visitors have already voted with their feet in approval of this location with ‘Live at the Marquee’ and ‘Cork on Ice attracting a combined 100,000 people each year.
