RDC DundalkThe Regional Development Centre at the Dundalk Institute of Technology is seeking applications for the next Novation Enterprise Platform Programme (NEPP) comencing October 2010. The NEPP is designed for both the support and development of the entrepreneur as well as the business idea. It does this through the delivery of a variety of specialist training programmes combined with structured business coaching and mentoring.

The programme is a 9 month programme for entrepreneurs who commit full time to starting businesses in the high tech, ICT and knowledge based fields.

Since 2001 almost 100 entrepreneurs have participated on the programme some becoming household names, such as Digiweb and Smarthomes, or major players in their industries, such as Armac Systems & Redmere. Particpant businesses had a combined annual turnover exceeding €27 million in 2008 and raised over €39 million in venture capital funds.

They are currently accepting applications for this year's programme which will start in October. The deadline for applications is Sept 17th. and all applicants will be entered into a draw for three months free hot-desking in the Regional Development Centre.

Established in 1989 by Dundalk Institute of Technology, the Regional Development Centre is the Institute’s Innovation Support and Technology Transfer organisation. The Centre is the commercially oriented interface between DkIT and the industrial, commercial and business life of the region, and makes available the expertise, facilities and resources of the Institute for the wider benefit of the regional economy.
