lyitCÉIM Pre-Start is a short programme from Letterkenny IT and IT Sligo to test the viability of an idea for a technology-led product/services. This programme invites applications before 18 March and runs over 4 Saturdays. It is a precursor to the very effective CÉIM programme for entrepreneurs offered by Letterkenny IT and IT Sligo and managed by WESTBIC. CÉIM has brought over 70 new ideas to market since it began. The closing date for entries for Pre-Start is Friday 18 March, 2011 and it begins Saturday 26 March.

CÉIM Pre-Start aims to offer a practical first step to take ideas further and turn them into business propositions. It brings together a CEIM Pre-Startprestigious group of experts and leading knowledge in innovation. It looks at topics like ; business strategy and management, assessing entrepreneurial ability, market research, market validation, sales, and communications. Many of the people delivering the programme are business people themselves who have progressed their ideas into successful companies. The format of the course is interactive and calls for active participation at each of the workshops.

"It's a great opportunity for someone who has been thinking about a concept and wants to see if it could be turned into a business particularly in the technology or knowledge sectors." CÉIM Pre-start offers the opportunity for free concept desk space at LYIT and IT Sligo incubation centres for up to 3 months, mentoring and many networking opportunities.

The programme begins 26 March and runs over 4 Saturdays, on the Letterkenny Institute of Technology and IT Sligo campuses. It's a great opportunity to meet other entrepreneurs.
