 DCU’s Ryan Academy opened its application process on the 3rd of September for its 3 month Propeller Venture Accelerator based in Dublin, Ireland. This award winning accelerator (voted 7th Best Accelerator in Europe by a study commissioned by the Kauffman Fellows Programme) has a great deal to offer entrepreneurs with winning ideas. €30,000 Euro investment, office space, over 80 mentors (Techies, Specialists and Serial Entrepreneurs) and a demo day set for the 26th April 2013. In total a deal worth €45,000 euro, all this in return for 7.5% equity stake, valuing the company at €600,000 euro!

 An important management training programme, developed especially for small businesses in Kildare, is starting on September 25th and is being sponsored by Kildare County Enterprise Board. The highly practical 'Management Development Programme' is running over 24 evenings in Naas and the Enterprise Board is organising a free information evening on Tuesday, September 11th for the owners and managers of small businesses throughout the county.

The free mentoring service provides advice to companies through a network of qualified mentors. The Small Business Advice service was established in 2010 and is funded by Bord Gais.

A new management development programme, aimed at helping indigenous small businesses accelerate their growth prospects, has been launched by the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton T.D., in Dublin. As part of an initiative from the County and City Enterprise Boards, the new 'Accelerate Management Development Programme' is geared towards owners and managers of Irish micro-enterprises, which have been up and running for at least eighteen months.
