Minister for Research and Innovation, Sean Sherlock TD, has urged businesses to avail of the opportunity to attend a Government sponsored free seminar, ‘Building a Business on Your Ideas’, to be held in The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Inner Relief Road, Dundalk, Co. Louth on Thursday 23rd May 2011. The seminar, organised by the Patents Office, is for small business-owners, entrepreneurs, inventors and startup companies in Louth and surrounding counties.

Dundalk Institute of Technology, (DkIT) in collaboration with Dublin City University (DCU) is pleased to announce details of this year’s Novation Enterprise Platform Programme, (NEPP). The programme is open to all graduates operating (or wishing to operate in) in the Knowledge Based and Technology sectors or are proposing the development of a novel product or service in the sector.

Drogheda Chamber in association with Louth and Meath County Enterprise Boards, Enterprise Ireland & AIB are running a unique business pitching competition that will assist SME's raise their profile and one lucky business will walk away with €5,000. The event will take place on the 10th March 2011, where six businesses will be given 5 minutes to make a pitch on who they are and what they would do with €5,000.

The Regional Development Centre at the Dundalk Institute of Technology is seeking applications for the next Novation Enterprise Platform Programme (NEPP) comencing October 2010. The NEPP is designed for both the support and development of the entrepreneur as well as the business idea. It does this through the delivery of a variety of specialist training programmes combined with structured business coaching and mentoring.
