Your business idea may seem great in your head, where people have a tendancy to concentrate on the positives and play down the negatives, but if you’re going to persuade your bank manager or an investor to advance you a loan or invest equity in your business then you’re going to have to get your business plan down on paper and prepare some financial projections. There are a lot of resources out there relating to business plans and planning and we aim to try and bring as many of these to your attention as possible and help you get that business idea down on paper. One useful resource we have come across is SCORE, which is a US not-for-profit organisation which provides business advice to small business owners in America. They have a section which provides a variety of templates in relation to preparing business plans for both start-ups and established businesses as well as excel spreadsheets for financial projections for balance sheet, profit and loss statements and start-up expenses. Now, obviously these are americanised but replace the dollar sign with the euro sign and change the month and day around and you’re done! Click here to go right to the template gallery of the site for downloading templates. |
