The Internet Growth Acceleration Programme (iGAP) has been developed by Enterprise Ireland and the Internet Growth Alliance and is aimed exclusively at high potential internet companies. Over 6 months iGAP will equip managers within Irish internet business with the practical tools needed to formulate aggressive international growth plans and scale their businesses. The programme will incorporate practical learning from world class facilitators combined with more intensive support from an implementation coach. Members of the Internet Growth Alliance will also act as business advisors to the participants as they complete their programme milestones and have committed sponsorship funding. The Internet Growth Alliance was established by a consortium of Irish entrepreneurs in conjunction with the Irish Internet Association, Enterprise Ireland, the Irish Software Association, the Institute of International and European Affairs, Web2 Ireland and the Digital Hub. The mission of the Alliance is to accelerate the development of Irish e-business companies & the Internet Growth Acceleration Programme is at the core of its strategy. The programme will include the delivery of monthly practical training modules which will cover key topics such as Business Strategy, Monetisation and Revenue Models, Marketing & Customer Acquisition and Preparing for Funding. The modules will be delivered by an international faculty who have vast experience and expertise in their subject area. Participants will complete in company assignments designed to embed the learning into your company and ensure business impact. The programme will culminate in a funding pitch scenario where the participants be put to the test by experienced venture capital and angel investors. Participants will also be partnered with an experienced business leader who will act as an implementation coach to ensure the programme learning is embedded into the company. Seasoned industry experts from the Internet Growth Alliance will be accessible on an ongoing basis throughout the programme. Participants can hear about the lessons they learned while establishing their own successful online companies. Enterprise Ireland and the Internet Growth Alliance will also provide networking opportunities built around the programme to ensure you build a sustained network of industry peers among your classroom colleagues, members of the IGA and other industry leaders.
Applications will be accepted until Friday 10th September, 2010 and the programme will commence in October 2010. If you wish to register your interest in participating in the next programme, please complete and submit the iGAP 2 application form. It is anticipated that there will be high demand for the limited places available on iGAP 2 . The overall cost of iGAP is €10k per participating company and up to two individuals from each company can participate. 70% of the programme fee is funded by Enterprise Ireland leaving a balance of €3k which must be paid in full before the programme commences. This programme is open to Enterprise Ireland clients and non clients.
