A patent & invention clinic will take place on Sept 16th in the County Enterprise Board offices in Mullingar. Learn how to develop your idea. The clinic consists of a one hour sessions with Patent Advisor, Sadie Wheatley. Sadie will explain all about patents, how to search if your product already exists and if it is worth taking out a patent on your product. The cost of the clinic is €30.00.

Made in Westmeath, the official craft network comprising of 30 craft businesses was officially launched on Wednesday June 15th in the CORE Craft Retail Outlet in Ballinahown, near Athlone, Co. Westmeath. Mr. Bobby Kerr, from Dragons Den launched the network following which there was a a special weekend of craft taking place in Ballinahown showcasing the best of Westmeath craft.

The Midlands Innovation and Research Centre at Athlone Institute of Technology and Enterprise Ireland are now recruiting for the next Midlands & West Enterprise Programme commencing in June. The Midlands & West Enterprise Programme is a business development programme that provides entrepreneurs with the business skills, networks, facilities and supports necessary to navigate the business start-up process. Eligible participants may also apply to Enterprise Ireland for salary support.

The National Women's Enterprise Day will be commencing on the evening of Thursday 19th November with some informal networking and celebrating women's enterprise with a conference, exhibition, mentor clinics and networking on Friday 20th November. The venue is the Mullingar Park Hotel.
This event aims to inspire, activate and assist women across Ireland in running their own business.
